lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesBaltimore trailed 3-0 after two innings, but the Orioles took control with two in the fifth and four in the sixth to roll to an 8-5 win at Miami Friday night.

The win keeps the O’s three games back in the American League East.

Trailing 3-0 entering the fifth, Baltimore got back into it on an RBI double from Delmon Young and an RBI groundout by Manny Machado that cut the deficit to 3-2.

The O’s scored four in the sixth on a rare full-count squeeze bunt by J.J. Hardy, a two-run single by Celeb Joseph and an infield single by Jimmy Paredes.

A Michael Morse RBI double by Michael Morse in the bottom of the sixth cut the Miami deficit to 6-4. Baltimore added a pair of insurance runs in the eighth on a two-run double from Machado that padded the margin to 8-4.

Miami tried to rally in the ninth, cutting the lead to 8-5 on a solo homer by Justin Bour, his second of the season, off reliever Brad Brach, and getting another runner on base on an Ichiro Suzuki single.

Zach Britton relieved Brach and got Adeiny Hechavarria to ground out to the box for the final out to notch his 10th save of the season.

UVA alum Tyler Wilson was credited with his first Major League victory in relief.
