UFC contender Daniel Cormier: Pro wrestling was too hard

So you compare pro wrestling to MMA and think to yourself, MMA is real, pro wrestling is entertainment, so the shoot fighters have it harder. And you’d be wrong.

“I was like, ‘Man this hurts, I’m done.’ I’m not doing professional wrestling,” said Daniel Cormier, a top contender for the UFC Heavyweight Title and a 2004 Olympian, who thought after the Olympics that he would end up in a pro-wrestling ring.

“It hurts so bad. It hurts bad,” Cormier said of his brief experience in a TNA wrestling ring.

“I went to TNA wrestling back in the day. Me and Joel Williams got to walk down the ramp. They did a couple of body slams and were like, ‘You gotta throw your arms back!’ And I was like, “Man this hurts, I’m done.’ I’m not doing professional wrestling.”
