The Augusta County Historical Society will host a special living history program with U.S. President James Monroe on Thursday, March 28, 7:30 p.m.
Our fifth president (1817-1825) has agreed to make an appearance in the Francis Auditorium at Mary Baldwin College and talk about his life and career achievements. DH Bigelow, a re-enactor at Monroe’s Ash Lawn-Highland home in Charlottesville, has studied Monroe’s life for years and will entertain the audience with fascinating glimpses into this president’s extraordinary life.
