Single-lane closures on Interstate 64 on Afton Mountain Jan. 12-16

A series of mobile single-lane closures are scheduled for the week of Jan. 12-16 on Interstate 64 eastbound and westbound. These overnight closures are for fog-light replacement between mile marker 98 in Augusta County and mile marker 104 in Albemarle County.

Cold arctic air currently enveloping Virginia can and will put the “freeze” on car batteries, tires and other critical car components. Emergency roadside assistance crews at AAA Mid-Atlantic are staffed and ready to handle the predictable increase in calls due to the cold.
