Tony Wright: Who will be the Republican nominee – and will it matter?
The Republican nominee will be decided soon, so will you guess who it will be, and will it matter.
I write this after listening to all the different voices during the Republicans final caucus, and I want to ask a question. Who do you think the final nominee and will it matter? We’ve got Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann, Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, Ron Paul, Jon Huntsman, or Rick Santorum; so who will win?
Anyone that’s read my articles in the past knows that I am 1) ultraconservative, 2) pro-life and have a “Reagan Republican” philosophy. I have not changed in what I think I still believe in pro-life, pro-growth, low taxes, controlled spending and “’fetuses are babies at conception.” Read more
Tony Wright: Enemies within and enemies without
We just commemorated the 10th anniversary of 9/11 two Sundays ago, and our president “tips his hat” and tries to travel the country “selling” a “jobs package”!
That’s a job for the private sector, not the federal government. We have a federal deficit of over $14.5 trillion! Does anybody realize what a chunk of change that is? Mr. Obama said, “The rich need to pay more of their income [their fair share].” Does anyone want to check into the factual data, because I believe the top 2 percent of income earners pay well over 50 percent of the taxes paid, yet Obama says they need to “pay their fair share.”
If my calculations are right they’re paying more than their fair share. But we have”enemies in the gates” running and ruining our once great nation!
I know I’ll get a lot of flack for this,but when Bush left office unemployment of 7.6 percent was high, since Obama took office unemployment was 9.5 percent. When Bush left officethe debt was $ 9.8 trillion, since Obama took office it’s $ 14.5 trillion! By the way, it was not was not all because of “Republican opposition!” but our Commander-in-Chief, who wants to take more from those who have made it by their ingenuity, hard work, and their own intellect; i.e. look at Bill Gates & Ted Turner! They don’t even work, just hire thousands of others to do their own job, being hired by companies these men created, and that’s just two examples.
That’s not how this became themost prosperous nation ever, nor will evoke people to try to improve their own life, and we’ll startto decline and become stagnant and die!

Tony Wright: The downfall of a once-great nation
We were always claimed to have been a “Christian nation” despite our faults, but when you look back over the last 50 years, the chiseling away has taken place, and as the chiseling of the foundations were chipped away, the church was silent!
First, prayer was taken out of schools, and the “separation of church/state” myth was brought forth and accepted. Lie number one swallowed.
Then in 1973 Roe vs. Wade was passed, and while the “pro-choice Lie” was swallowed, we’ve watched over 50 million babies sacrificed to the “god of choice,” and the church was silent.
Divorce in the church has about equaled that outside in the world? Instead of being instructed in the way of righteousness, we’ve went ahead hook, line and sinker!
I’m not even going to get into states that have allowed “same-sex marriage.”
I’ll close for now, hoping you enjoyed the façade called Independence Day; we lost it long ago! If only my great-grandson would have lived it instead of read about the great nation that his grandparents grew up in? As President Reagan once said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.” What a profound thought!

Tony Wright: January 2011-A new decade, a new direction
Here we are, A “New Year,” in need of a new direction. As I’ve looked back over the last 10 years I’ve seen that the “political players” on both sides of the aisle have betrayed us! The Democrats have been trying to “give away the store” that’s been bankrupt for years, and the Republicans get in and try to “cut spending” and get removed from office for “taking away our toys” that were bankrupting us?
So what can we do? I don’t know, but this was just revealed to me this morning, and I had to let people with better minds than mine answer that.
I do know that the only way they’ll stop my opinion, even the “morally leaning” to the “far right” is to put me in jail and provide a full-time nurse. [No males need apply]!
I’m a Christian, by the way!!!
