Fly Lady: Are you losing your mind?
Do you ever feel like you must be losing your mind? Someone says to you, “I told you that last week!” or “Don’t you remember?” We can get defensive about comments like this. I know I have. This morning as I was “sleeping in” it hit me what the problem is.
Fly Lady: Is your bedroom a junkyard?
Are you still trying to sleep in the midst of a junk yard? You know exactly what I am talking about! Your bedroom! Over time it has become the graveyard for things that have no home. It is time for you to purge these things from your bedroom. I want your bedroom to be a haven for you each evening when you put your head on your pillow.
Fly Lady: Are you on a collision course?
Procrastination has been a way of life for most of us. When we think a job is going to take longer than we have time for then we put it off. That is our perfectionism. We have been taught since the day we were born that if we can’t do something right don’t do it at all! We listened! We may not have heard much else that was said but that stuck in our minds.
Fly Lady: Cut your losses
We all make mistakes! This is a fact of living. So why do we beat ourselves up when we have made a bad choice. I think it is because deep down inside we are doing what has been done to us all of our lives; punishing ourselves. This has got to stop.
Fly Lady: Lessons from a spider
This morning while I was taking my bath I noticed a little feathery spider crawling across my ceiling. I have been watching this spider since last fall. It is a happy living thing and I have become protective of it!
Fly Lady: I don’t have enough
How many times a day do you hear the word “ENOUGH” come out of our mouth or into your brain. Let’s just look at damage that this word does to all of us.

Fly Lady: Following your dreams
Did life happen and your dreams get put on the back burning? This has occurred to most of us. We have all heard that procrastination is the thief of time. I don’t think that is entirely the case. Time is constant; we all have the same hours in every single day, it is how we choose to use those hours that steals the time. We all seem to think that things will take longer than they really will, so we talk ourselves out of doing them. Just what have you been procrastinating about lately: Laundry, getting the car washed or is it something much deeper than household chores?
