The Longwood University women’s lacrosse team had its chance at a third National Lacrosse Conference (NLC) Tournament title spoiled by #2High Point on a 15-7 decision in the semifinal game in Davidson, North Carolina Saturday afternoon.

Third-seeded Longwood defeated #6 Detroit 16-9 in the quarterfinal game of the National Lacrosse Conference Tournament in Davidson, North Carolina Friday night.

Senior captain Kesley Dean|Centreville, Md. (Queen Anne’s) spearheaded the Lancers’ (10-7, 5-2 NLC) victory with six points on three goals and three assists. Longwood women's lax falls to Navy on Senior Day

The Longwood University women’s lacrosse team fell to visiting Navy 9-6 on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at the Athletics Complex in Farmville. Senior Cara O’Brien|Arlington (Bishop O’Connell) led the Lancers (8-7, 4-2 NLC) with two goals, adding to her team- and conference-high 43 (9a, 52p). The Longwood University women’s lacrosse team dropped a non-conference match 12-9 at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia Tuesday afternoon. The Lancers were paced by senior Amanda Bereznay|Gwynn Oak, Md. (Seton Keough) who tallied a team-high three goals and one assist off five shots.
