UVA basketball fifth in national polls, second in three power rankings

The UVA men’s basketball team is fifth in the AP and coaches polls this week. The Cavaliers (11-0) rose a spot in the AP poll, switching places with idle Wisconsin, after posting a pair of wins last week, 70-54 over Cleveland State on Thursday and 76-27 over Harvard on Sunday.

Sixth-ranked UVA opened the game on a 16-4 run and ground Cleveland State from there in posting a 70-54 win on Thursday at the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Va.
