Monday’s ugly NCAA Tournament final that crowned UConn national champs with a 53-41 win over Butler begins the show. Chris tells us that the win is all the more impressive for the Huskies because they beat the Bulldogs at their game.
Next the guys talk about the surprise move by VCU coach Shaka Smart to stay in Richmond after the Rams’ run to the Final Four. It’s not as unexpected as you might think, according to Chris.

There’s plenty of college basketball this weekend, but everyone is looking forward to 6 p.m. Sunday – the announcement of the 65-team NCAA tournament field.
While waiting for the last one in and the last one out, the major conferences hold their tournaments. The ACC begins its 57th tournament Thursday at noon in Greensboro with Virginia facing Boston College. Virginia Tech fans have to wait until Friday at 2 p.m. to see the Hokies.
Raycom and its local broadcasters have 10 of the 11 tournament games – ESPN2 has exclusive coverage of the Thursday 7 p.m. game. The championship starts Sunday at 2 p.m. ESPN and ESPN2 also cover the tournament, but in ACC territory expect either ESPNews or other tournament action in those time slots.
