Friday, June 1, 6:00 PM, Live Music & Dining – Dr Levine & The Dreaded Blues Lady, Sultry Blues

Dr. Levine and The Dreaded Blues Lady is comprised of Lorie Strother on vocals and Stephen Levine on guitar. This energetic duo performs a diverse selection of acoustic blues music styles primarily from the 1920s and 1930s with a sprinkling of contemporary blues. Lorie Strother  ”sings the real true blues…with a big booming, bluesy voice,” and Dr. Stephen Levine provides powerful, biting slide guitar work.”

Friday, June 8, 6:00 PM, Live Music & Dining – Gabby Haze Band, Americana, Folk Rock & Blues

Americana, Folk Rock, and Blues all come together when Gabby Haze mixes tight harmonies and an unusual assortment of instruments including autoharp, sax, flute, 2 acoustic guitars, mandolin, harmonica and stand up bass. The result is a selection of original songs written by band members Dave Magnone and Dan Layman along with covers of The Beatles, John Prine, Arlo Guthrie, The Band, Bob Dylan, John Sebastian, Hootie Ledbetter, The Rolling Stones, Steve Goodman and Hank Williams. When Gabby Haze does covers, they don’t try to sound like the original artists, they play the tunes in their own style.

Thurs, June 14, 4:00 PM, “BOOK Tea” on the Garden Patio – Share Tea & Treats while sharing Book Picks & Pans!

We’re pulling out the china for teatime at Stone Soup – join us for a little English Tea & Stone Soup homemade sweets. Pair that with YOU (wonderful readers) & it’s sure to be a literary BOOK Tea experience! Bring at least 2 book picks or pans (we know some of you will bring more) that you want to share with your fellow readers. Bring your pencils – There will be some you’ll want to write down to add to your reading list!  Tea & sweets service – $8/Person. Space Limited. Reservations Required

Tues, June 19, 7:00 PM, “Summer Classics” Book Discussion of “My Mother’s House & Sido” by Colette

In the pair of complementary novels “My Mother’s House and Sido”, Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette,  presents a collection of childhood vignettes which pay homage to the lost paradise of youth. Central to the stories is the compelling figure of her mother, a powerful nurturing woman in late 19th century rural France & the impact she had on her community and her daughter.
