pacn the streetsP.A.C.’n the Streets is a family affair celebrating the 100th birthday of The New Theatre (a.k.a. the Dixie) in Downtown Staunton. The festivities, presented by the S.P.A.C.E. (the Staunton Performing Arts Center experience), will take place on the block of East Beverley Street between New and Market Streets on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 10 am to 5 pm.

Step back in time to the early 1900s at the nostalgic, family-friendly street fair presenting the best food, arts, and entertainment that Staunton has to offer.  Don your beads, stick a feather in your hat, join the sing-alongs, dance the Fox Trot and kick up your heels to the Charleston.  Enjoy main stage musical and variety performances, a barbershop quartet, a juggler and magician, carriage rides, roving entertainers, children’s activities, and food and artisan vendors.  Come join the celebration in downtown Staunton, named one of “America’s Greatest Main Streets” by Travel & Leisure, and one of “The Best Small Towns in America” by Smithsonian!

P.A.C.’n the Streets is made possible in part by the generous support of Scott & Stringfellow, Elmore, Hupp & Company, Consumers Auto Warehouse, Elliott Automotive Group, GK Audio, Lynn P. Sisson, Diveley Lind & Associates, Augusta Health, Staunton Downtown Development Association, John “Santa” Zinn, and the City of Staunton.
