Staunton Police seek information on attempted abduction

staunton2editsThe Staunton Police Department is asking for information regarding a reported attempted abduction that occurred on Sept. 30 at approximately 5 p.m. in the 900 block of Stuart Street.

According to the female victim who was walking in the area, a middle aged Hispanic male loading boxes into a tan, older model SUV, attempted to forcibly pull her toward the vehicle.  She was able to get away and leave the area.  The incident is under investigation.
