svtcPress release from the Shenandoah Valley Technology Council

The Shenandoah Valley Technology Council announces its first “Tech on the Wharf” in Staunton, Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 5-7pm.

Come gather ‘round, Staunton technology users and creators! Creating lots of technology? This is your crowd. Busily using technology? This is ALSO your crowd! Let’s see how many there are in Staunton — this is the SVTC’s inaugural Tech on the Wharf. Mark the date and location: downtown Staunton at the Shenandoah Valley Brewing Company, Thurs., Oct. 2, 2014. Modeled after our popular Tech on the Square in Harrisonburg, we’ll network & support local business by drinking some local craft beers. While we can’t pick up the beer tab, we will bring in some pizza from around the corner.  Members and non-members are welcome for this casual networking event.

The Shenandoah Valley Technology Council (SVTC) is non-profit membership organization serving the greater Shenandoah Valley of Virginia by helping technology businesses in the area succeed and grow. Learn more about the SVTC, its members and events at www.svtc-va.org/.

Meet us at the Shenandoah Valley Brewing Company’s taproom (17 Middlebrook Ave.) from 5 until 7 pm. That’s in the historic wharf district between the Amtrak depot and the Augusta court house.  You can enter SVBC either from Middlebrook Ave (street parking) or from Byers St. (Johnson Street surface parking lot).

Registration is appreciated.  Register at www.svtc-va.org.
