Shenandoah Fringe Festival 2016 coming in April

staunton virginiaThe Shenandoah Fringe Festival beckons the region’s diverse performers and makers to present bold, curious, and risky work.

It will also feature a series of Fringe Salons throughout the year to continue building our region’s artist workforce connections and collaborations.

We are thrilled to host vaudeville historian James Taylor, author of Shocked and Amazed! at the festival and look forward to a strong vaudeville contingent in the offerings.

The Festival is scheduled for a Sunday and Monday in order to capture teachers wishing to bring their classes to the festival and those whose income identity does not fit the traditional five day, 9-5 work week.

Carmel Clavin, Directrix and Grand PooBah Extraordinaire of Spectacle & Mirth is a vaudevillian and creative producer based out of Staunton, VA. You can learn more about Spectacle & Mirth at www.SpectacleAndMirth.com or www.CarmelClavin.com.

“ShenFringe aims to be a home for the wild wondrous and weird in this region. A place where you can embrace every part of your identity- artist, refugee, student, barista, patron- without invalidating the others,” said founder Carmel Clavin. “Bring us your weird.”
