Part of Route 726 (Stone Spring Road) in Rockingham County will be closed for intersection improvements beginning Friday, August 8, 2014. The affected portion of roadway is near the city of Harrisonburg between Peach Grove Avenue and Port Republic Road.
This construction on Route 726 at the intersection with Port Republic Road is being performed by a private developer and is not part of the Southeast Connector project. Work is expected to be complete about August 18, weather permitting.
Signs will direct drivers on the following detours: Westbound traffic will follow Port Republic Road west and Peach Grove Avenue south to Route 726. Eastbound traffic will follow Peach Grove Avenue north and Port Republic Road east to Route 726.
