Route 606 in Clarke County closed for storm repairs

road work transportationPart of Route 606 (River Road) in Clarke County is closed to through traffic while the Virginia Department of Transportation repairs recent storm damage. Route 606 is expected to remain closed through the Memorial Day holiday weekend between Route 607 (Saw Mill Hill Road) and Route 649 (Frogtown Road).

Property owners will be able to access homes and businesses along Route 606. Through traffic will be detoured as follows:

  • Southbound drivers will go east on Route 607, south on Route 604 (Ebenezer Road), west on Route 605 (Morgans Mill Road) and then south on Route 649 to the end of the detour.
  • Northbound traffic will go north on Route 649, east on Route 605, north on Route 604 and west on Route 607 to the end of the detour.

All work is weather permitting.
