Price Rotary Senior Center Local Council met September 16 at the Center.
Eight staff and Local council members enjoyed pizza, provided by Ressa Baugher with Avante, as an added incentive to attend the local council meeting.
The local council welcomed a new treasurer, Mary Myers. Mary is a member of PRSC and has agreed to help with the Treasurer duties at PRSC.
HR RD Beth Bland, presented an update from VPAS. Beth shared about the financial picture, the process of gathering bids to replace ceiling tiles at PRSC, a new meeting schedule in order to facilitate information flow from corporate and also about a regional fundraising possibility.
The fundraising idea that was presented to the Local council was a Domino’s pizza fundraiser. The return on this fundraiser is $9.00 per card sold for $10.00, which is an excellent return. The Local council agreed to sell Domino’s Pizza cards as a fundraiser for VPAS. David Wigginton has agreed to be in charge of handling the cards and money from this fundraiser.
