McDonnell PAC: Primed and ready for ’11 state cycle

Gov. Bob McDonnell’s political action committee, Opportunity Virginia PAC, reported $1.28 million cash on hand on Sept. 30, the end of the third quarter.

The report was released to the news media on Friday. In the media release, Opportunity Virginia reported raising $782,000 between July 1 and Sept. 30, 2010.

“As we prepare for the 2011 General Assembly races, we are extremely grateful for the continued generosity of the governor’s friends and supporters. This tremendous financial support, as well as the governor’s strong job approval, are a direct result of his adminstration’s continued focus on the issues Virginians care about: attracting new jobs and creating more opportunity throughout the Commonwealth; balancing the state budget by cutting spending, not raising taxes; and streamlining government to make it more efficient, effective, and user-friendly,” said Phil Cox, director of Opportunity Virginia PAC, in a statement.
