There is rumblin’ on Main Street in Downtown Waynesboro, and the source of the reverberation is over 150 American-made muscle cars.
Saturday, May 16, Waynesboro Downtown Development Inc. hosts the fourth annual Main Street Muscle Car Show from 1-5 p.m. The stunning sight of the cars, the sounds of Southern rock by No Boundaries, the aroma of great food, plenty of giveaways and a 50/50 raffle, round out the event for the whole family.
Registration for car owners begins at 11 a.m. Registration is $12 in advance and $15 day of show. The first 100 registrations receive a dash plaque and goodie bag. This is a participant-voted show with 15 trophies to be awarded. Best-of-show winner will be the car with the most votes, and an award for best club participation will be presented for the first time in the history of Main Street Muscle.
Main Street Muscle has become an important and anticipated local event. This year Main Street Muscle will team up with the City of Waynesboro Public Works Department and the Parks and Recreation Department to promote three parallel events for a Wild Weekend in Waynesboro: Public Works Day, Muscle Car Show, and XtremeFest.
