Mad Science to wow kids at Waynesboro Public Library

waynesboro libraryThe audience at Waynesboro Public Library on Thursday, March 31 at 11:00 am should be in for an amazing show when Mad Science Laboratories of Central Virginia presents Spin Pop Boom! This show is sure to have something everyone will enjoy with all the science and bit of magic in store.

“Our library is proud to have the opportunity to present a Mad Science event to our patrons again,” said Adrienne Hamlyn, children’s programming coordinator. “Their scientists take complex theories and break them down age-appropriately making them interesting, relevant and fun for even the youngest child.”

The Central Virginia franchise will have the audience examining centrifugal force, creating eerie sounds using resonance tubes and fire, letting a genie out of a bottle, and creating a giant burst of foam. Mad Science describes the presentations a “fast-paced, high-energy performances that combines a little bit of magic with a lot of science to generate a whole bunch of fun. Children from the audience participate in all the demonstrations and are sure to be left with memories that last well past the event.”

They deliver unique, hands-on science experiences that are entertaining and educational. Mad Science encourages scientific literacy in children in an age when science is as vital as reading, writing and arithmetic.

Other shows Mad Science presents have children conjuring foggy dry ice storms, watching a foam factory at work, creating super bouncy balls, making magic mud, altering sound waves, and much more.
