Letter to the Editor: Wrong direction on coal

Contributors

letter-to-the-editor3The liberal agenda has taken a giant step in the wrong direction with President Obama’s recent announcement of new regulations on coal-fired plants. Coal is a precious resource to so many people in Virginia:  20,000 Virginians depend on coal for their jobs. But Terry McAuliffe has in the past stated his support for Obama’s position – one that will ensure the destruction of coal in Virginia.

Why do the Democrats insist on adding burden to an already struggling economy? An agenda that harms such a large group of citizens is just wrong. We can’t afford to let Virginia’s citizens or economy suffer by putting Terry McAuliffe in the Governor’s mansion.

Letter from Robert S. Thomas/Grottoes, Va.
