virginiaThe fourth annual Kid’s Fishing Day will be held Saturday, March 31 at Douthat State Park in Millboro, VA. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at Camp Carson Picnic Shelter. Fishing will begin at 9 a.m. and last until noon. All participants must register.

Fishing is for children ages 12 and under. No permit or license is needed. A section of Wilson Creek will be marked for fishing. Registered participants will receive a door prize.

There is no fee to fish, however a $5 per vehicle parking pass is required. This event is a great opportunity to introduce kids to fishing.

Special thanks to our sponsors: Douthat SPEED Group, Sportsmen’s Warehouse, Highlands Community Bank, Alcova Mortgage, Sharon Fire and Rescue, Iron Gate Fire and Rescue, Clifton Forge Fire Department, Clifton Forge Rescue Squad, Dunlap Fire and Rescue, Clifton Forge Elks Lodge, Michael Michie’s Guns, and Walmart of Covington.
