Kaine projected winner in Virginia Senate race

Sen. Patty Murray, Chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, released the following statement congratulating Tim Kaine on his election night victory in Virginia:

“Governor Kaine is going to be the kind of Senator that all Virginians can be proud of and can count on, and I congratulate him on a great victory tonight. The people of Virginia saw clearly that Tim Kaine has the right priorities and the passion that we need right now in the United States Senate. Governor Kaine cares passionately about early childhood education and creating opportunity for all, and I can’t wait to work with him in the United States Senate.”
