An Augusta Free Press reader reported that she had heard about a possible baby abduction at Augusta Health in Fishersville on Friday. Turns out that the rumored abduction was actually a required hospital drill.

augusta-health-headerA hospital spokesperson said the drill, called a Code Pink Drill, is something that hospitals are required to conduct on a regular basis.

No real baby is used, but the doors to the hospital are locked down to make sure that they would function correctly in the event of an actual attempted abduction.

The drill was successful, the spokesperson said.
