jmu logoThe No. 15 James Madison football team will host Big South Conference champion Liberty in the 2014 NCAA FCS Football Championship, the committee announced this morning.

The Dukes and Flames will clash for the first time since 2011, this one being played at Bridgeforth Stadium Sat., Nov. 29 at 4 p.m. If the Dukes win in the opening round, they will travel to Pennsylvania to take on No. 6 seed Villanova  Saturday, Dec. 6.

This marks the first time since 2011 that JMU has earned a berth in the postseason and the 11th time in program history. Madison won the 2004 national championship by winning four road games and in 2008, advanced to the National Semifinals.  Currently on a seven-game winning streak, the Dukes 9-3 own the sixth-longest winning streak in FCS football.

Tickets are available by contacting the JMU Ticket Office at 540-568-3853 or online at the official ticket site for the FCS Playoffs at JMU. Students are able to reserve their free tickets for the first round now, as the dorms and dining halls will stay open at noon on Nov. 29 to accommodate the game.
