Chris Tillman (9-10, 4.87 ERA) took the loss, giving up eight runs, seven earned, on 10 hits in four and two-thirds innings.

Drew Smyly (2-2, 3.11 ERA) got the win for the Rays (66-66), putting up seven scoreless innings, giving up four hits, walking one and striking out 10 O’s.

Chris Davis hit his 36th homer of the season, a solo shot, in the ninth, after the outcome had long since been decided.
