Interstate 81 lane closures at Exit 310 in Frederick County Oct. 17-21

interstate 81Overnight lane closures on southbound Interstate 81 in Frederick County are scheduled for the week of October 17-21, 2016. These will be right lane closures for paving operations from mile marker 311 to 309 in the Winchester area, as part of the I-81 exit 310 reconstruction.

The right lane of southbound I-81 will close Monday through Thursday nights (October 17-20) from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, and Friday night (October 21) from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning. The speed limit through the exit 310 work zone is 60 miles an hour.

All work is weather permitting.

General Excavation Inc. (GEI) of Warrenton, Va. was awarded a construction contract valued at nearly $25 million. The exit 310 project is scheduled for completion in May 2017.
