Harry Griego files for Sixth District ballot

harry griegoHarry Griego has officially filed for the Republican primary ballot in Virginia’s Sixth Congressional District.

Griego is challenging House Judiciary Chairman and two-decade incumbent Bob Goodlatte for the Republican nomination.

“The Sixth is an extremely conservative district that reliably votes strongly Republican,” Griego said. “The only real question for this election is whether the citizens here in our district choose to be represented by someone who long ago broke his promise to serve for a maximum of 12 years, or whether they want to be represented by a fresh face and a citizen statesman untainted by D.C. special interests.”

“As a military veteran who took a solemn oath to protect and preserve the Constitution of the United States, I am committed to fighting for our values and liberties as your Congressman.  I fear that my opponent, in his quest for power and position, has chosen to “go along to get along” with characters like former Speaker John Boehner, and has forgotten how to stand and fight for our conservative values.  I will be a threat to the status quo of Washington politics; I will take meaningful, aggressive action to get our fiscal house in order, and, by expanding economic liberty, I will help restore the Opportunity that has long been a hallmark of the American Dream.”
