  • Virginia has scored 80 or more points in three consecutive games for the first time under Tony Bennett and for the first time since totaling 80 or more in the first four games of the 2006-07 season.

  • UVA is ranked No. 12 in the latest Associated Press and USA Today Coaches’ polls, marking the first poll UVA has been ranked out of the top 10 since March 3, 2014.
  • UVA had been ranked in the top 10 in 25 consecutive AP polls since March 3, 2014, its longest span since 49 consecutive polls from 1980-83.
  • The Cavaliers’ No. 6 preseason ranking was UVA’s best since a No. 1 ranking to start the 1982-83 season.
  • Virginia has been ranked in the preseason top-10 in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1981-82 and 1982-83.

  • UVA is averaging 81.2 points per game and yielding 59.2 ppg (most since 62.4 ppg in 2010-11).
  • Senior All-America candidate Malcolm Brogdon leads UVA in scoring for the third consecutive season at a career-best 15.3 points per game, while All-ACC performer Anthony Gill is averaging 13.0 points and a team-high 5.8 rebounds.
  • Brogdon has tallied a pair of 20-point efforts (career-high 28 vs. GW and 21 vs. George Mason) and Gill has reached double figures in scoring in all four games.

Last Time Out

  • Tournament MVP London Perrantes tallied his second career double-double with 16 points and a career-high 11 assists as Virginia cruised to an 83-66 win over George Mason in the Charleston Classic championship game on Nov. 22.
  • Perrantes was joined on the all-tournament team by Malcolm Brogdon, who tallied a game-high 21 points in UVA’s third straight win.
  • Anthony Gill added 15 points, recording his 1,000th career point in three seasons at UVA and one at South Carolina.
  • Mike Tobey tallied 14 points and eight rebounds off the bench as UVA outscored George Mason 23-8 in bench points.
  • UVA shot a season-high 57.1 percent and went 6-9 from 3-point range.
