Dominion pipeline presentation moves Staunton City Council meeting

staunton2editsThe Staunton City Council meetings on Thursday, August 28, 2014, will be relocated from City Hall to the auditorium at Robert E. Lee High School, 1200 North Coalter Street, Staunton, Virginia.

Council’s work session will commence at 6:30 p.m., and its regular meeting will commence at 7:30 p.m.

Council’s agenda for its regular meeting includes a presentation by representatives of Dominion Virginia Power about the company’s proposed pipeline project in several states, including Virginia.  Given the considerable public interest in the project, a decision was made to relocate the meeting to the high school auditorium, which can accommodate a larger audience than council chambers.

Agendas for both the work session and the regular meeting can be viewed online at http://www.staunton.va.us/directory/departments-a-g/city-council/agendas beginning Monday, August 25.
