dascom-wbDASCOM Americas, a recognized leader in complete business printing solutions, and manufacturer and marketer of SONARAY™ industrial LED lighting, announced on Wednesday that its new Americas’ headquarters is slated to open at the end of the month.

The new 20,000 square foot facility is located in Augusta County’s Mill Place Commerce Park in Verona, Virginia.

A small kick-off held today at the site for suppliers and customers featured remarks provided by company owners and DASCOM Americas’ President Ron Acorn.

“Our new building is a huge step in our progression in serving the Americas’ market,” said Ron Acorn.  “Mill Place is a great strategic setting for our construction and provides exceptional logistical advantages for us.  The facility itself will allow us to consolidate a number of functions to better serve our customers, and is indicative of our ownership’s long term commitment to employees, customers and Augusta County.”

The site will house marketing, sales, product management, technical support, assembly, warehousing, shipping, and administration, while serving as headquarters for the company’s efforts in North and Latin America.

The company is part of DASCOM Holdings, a diverse business conglomerate, located in Hong Kong, which does business in 86 countries around the globe.

DASCOM Americas was incorporated in April 2010 and currently serves a diverse set of customers, including many well-known Fortune 500 companies and municipalities throughout the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.  Widely known for manufacturing and marketing Tally® serial impact dot matrix printers, DASCOM has achieved steady geographic growth and now provides both business printers and industrial lighting to its international customers.

DASCOM anticipates the new opening will lead to area job creation, primarily in small scale manufacturing.  Initial plans are to assemble select models of the company’s industrial LED lights in Virginia, beginning first quarter 2015.

“We enthusiastically welcome DASCOM Americas to Mill Place Commerce Park,” said Amanda Glover, Economic Development Director for Augusta County.  “The company is a great fit for our commerce park, and we look forward to continued partnerships as we support DASCOM’s continued success.”

The project was designed by Lineage Architects of Verona with Kjellstrom & Lee based out of Richmond, Virginia serving as the general contractor.
