UVa is 3-4 in CWS games (1-2 in 2009, 2-2 in 2011). Three members of the current team were on the UVa roster in 2011 (Whit Mayberry, Artie Lewicki and Austin Young). Mayberry pitched one-third of an inning in the CWS against South Carolina.

Virginia in the NCAA Baseball Championship
Virginia has competed in 14 NCAA tournaments, including the last 11. UVa is 38-30 in the tournament, including 26-14 over the last six seasons.

Under Brian O’Connor (since 2004), UVa is 32-24 in the NCAA tourney. UVa owns five regional championships (2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014) and three super regional titles (2009, 2011 and 2014).

In program history, Virginia has played a total of 13 games against the seven other teams that comprise the 2014 College World Series field. UVa is 4-2 all-time against Ole Miss but has never played TCU or Texas Tech. The Cavaliers are 4-1 against UC Irvine and 0-2 versus Vanderbilt but have not played Louisville or Texas.

Virginia-Ole Miss History
In 2009, UVa won two of three games against the Rebels in Oxford to win the super regional and advance to its first-ever College World Series The Cavaliers topped Ole Miss 13-7 in the 2010 Charlottesville Regional. Interestingly, the Rebels had to go through UVa in 1972 in their last trip to the CWS. After dropping a 9-3 contest to UVa, Ole Miss topped the Cavaliers 9-0 to advance.
