Cadence Inc. to host JMU quality management summer course

cadenceJames Madison University students enrolled in the Quality Management course this summer will receive first-hand industrial experience with their class being held at Cadence’s Virginia facility over the next four weeks.  Students will examine the industrial work cell, as well as value stream mapping, line sequencing, and economic order quantity calculations — all in an effort to help optimize the industrial work cell flow project.

“This is a terrific opportunity for these students,” stated Tom Nelli, VP of Manufacturing for Cadence’s Virginia facility. “They will walk away with a better understanding of work cell management by experiencing it first-hand with actual scenarios in our facility, combined with getting to work directly with Cadence’s engineering and operations staff.”

This course at JMU is another great way for Cadence, Inc. to give back to its community and plans to continue to do so in the future.
