wayne theatreDecember at the Wayne Theatre will get families in the holiday spirit with a festive home tour, dance and concerts to celebrate the season, and a holiday movie series that will let ticketholders make memories before Santa arrives.

  • December 1, 2016 – February 26, 2017: Properties of Imagination-The Art of Fine Craft exhibit featuring works from Janice Arone, Ninni Baeckstrom, Mary Beth Bellah, Mary Ann Burk, Laurie Duxbury, Joan Griffin, Lotta Helleberg, Barbara Coyle Holt, Jill Jensen, Phillip Nolley, Vee Osvalds, Nancy Ross, Elizabeth Scheid, Joe Sheridan and Fred Williamson. Runs December 1February 26. Open Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or during performances at the Wayne Theatre. The Wayne Theatre is located at 521 W. Main St., in Waynesboro.   • December 2: Merry & Bright Cocktail Christmas Party, enjoy festively decorated trees, room after room of lavish holiday décor, delicious hors d’oeuvres, wines and beverages, live music and merrymaking, 7-9 p.m., home of Gary Fitzgerald and Ed Miska. Tickets are $100 and very limited. Cocktail party attendees also receive a ticket to the December 3 Home Tour.   • December 3: Christmas Home Tour, sponsored by EA Homes, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tour is a chance to experience Christmas traditions and décor of some of Waynesboro’s finest when local residents put out the welcome mat, Tree Streets neighborhood.   • December 3: Shenandoah Jamboree with one of America’s most celebrated Gospel groups The Chuck Wagon Gang, 7:30 p.m.Also featuring the Southern Gospel Quarter The Crestmen.   • December 10: Wilson Fairchild Christmas Show, 8 p.m. The Reid Boys bring their songwriting and country music chops to the stage at the Wayne Theatre for a holiday show that will be unforgettable.
