Bridge work to close part of Route 801 in Augusta County on Aug. 15

road work transportationA portion of Route 801 (Hanger’s Mill Road) near Churchville in Augusta County is scheduled to be closed from August 15 to September 2 so that crews can replace the bridge over Jennings Branch Tributary. The work zone is 0.42 miles north of Route 250 (Churchville Avenue) and 1.64 miles east of Route 835 (Hotchkiss Road).

These detours will be in place during construction:

  • From south side of the bridge go west onto Route 250 (Churchville Avenue), then north onto Route 835 (Hotchkiss Road), then east back onto Route 801 and end of detour.
  • From the north side of the bridge, go south onto Route 835 (Hotchkiss Road), then east onto Route 250 (Churchville Avenue), then north back onto Route 801 and end of detour.

All work is weather permitting.
