Baseball braggin’ rights on the line

Chris Graham

The Waynesboro Generals begin regular-season Valley League play two weeks from Friday night. But the Generals will take to the field two nights earlier to fight for some Greater Augusta braggin’ rights.
The Generals will play host to the Stuarts Draft Diamondbacks of the Rockingham County Baseball League Wednesday, June 3, at 7 p.m. at Kate Collins Field. The game will follow a Meet the Teams event that will begin at 4:30 p.m. at KCMS.

Fans of both teams are invited to meet players and members of the two teams’ organizations.

Admission is free. The concession stand – to be christened for ’09 and thereafter as the Generals Canteen – will be open for business.
