Albemarle County announces 29 Express Route starting May 2

29 expressAlbemarle County will launch its new 29 Express commuter bus rout on Monday, May 2, at 7:30 am at the Food Lion on Timberland Boulevard.

This new service is being operated by JAUNT. Members of the Albemarle Board of Supervisors, nearby neighbors, riders, and County and JAUNT staff will gather to celebrate the launch of the new route by riding the bus on its first run from Food Lion to the Downtown Library. Media representatives are encouraged to attend the ceremony and to ride the route along with other invited guests.

Starting Monday, May 2, 2016, the 29 Express commuter route will run from the Forest Lakes/Hollymead area to UVA and the Downtown Library. The fare will be free during May and June and will be $1.50 starting July 1, 2016.

The route will begin at 7:00am and 8:00am and return at 4:40pm and 5:20pm.
