I-81 on-ramp at Exit 264 in Shenandoah County closed tonight

i81-headerThe northbound on-ramp to Interstate 81 at Exit 264 (New Market) in Shenandoah County will be closed overnight for milling and paving. This work will also result in the closure of the right northbound lane of the interstate. These closures will be in effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 27 to 9 a.m. Thursday, August 28.

Drivers needing to access northbound I-81 will be detoured east on Route 211 (West Lee Highway), north onto Route 11 (Old Valley Pike) and west on Route 730 (Caverns Road), where they will rejoin the interstate at exit 269.

All work is weather permitting.

The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
