Stadium Policies

Mirroring what is in place for Florida Citrus Sports events at Camping World Stadium, a ‘clear bag’ policy will be enforced at the 2016 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game and ACC FanFest. Fans are strongly encouraged to arrive early and refrain from bringing any type of bag. The below types of bags are permissible:

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12.”
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
  • Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bags.

Fans are encouraged to arrive to the stadium early, as magnetic wanding will take place at all entrance gates. The magnetic wand is a non-invasive device that scans the body for prohibited items. If you decline screening for medical reasons or a metal detector alert cannot be solved through inquiry or physical inspection, a physical pat-down might be necessary.

The sale of beer and wine to those of legal age will be extended to all ticketed patrons. The alcohol policy enforced by Camping World Stadium will be in effect for the 2016 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game.

ACC & College Football Playoff Extra Yard for Teachers Foundation

In partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers initiative, the ACC is recognizing teachers and providing funding for classroom projects in Orlando and the two participating team’s communities as a part of the 2016 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game.

Initiatives have included distribution of DonorsChoose.org gift cards to fund classroom projects at an area school visited by ACC mascots earlier this week, and to Orlando area Teacher of the Year finalists and West Lakes neighborhood invitees in attendance at the ACC Dr Pepper Football Championship Game.

Other collective initiatives in conjunction with Extra Yard for Teachers and Florida Citrus Sports/LIFT Orlando include funding of 56 classroom projects on DonorsChoose.org in the Orlando area; 40 projects in Pickens and Oconee, South Carolina counties; and 49 projects in Montgomery, Pulaski, Radford and Roanoke, Virginia counties. A total of 135 projects were funded, with more than 12,000 students at 68 schools supported.

As part of the CFP Foundation’s College Banner Program, college banners were donated to be displayed in area classrooms to inspire a college-going culture, and the Orlando Teachers of the Year and other LIFT Orlando teacher invitees will be treated to a VIP experience at the Championship Game.

ACC Mascot Outreach Events

The ACC mascots will visit Orange Center Elementary, Florida Hospital for Children, and Give Kids the World Village as part of outreach initiatives for the 2016 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game. On Friday, Dec. 2, the ACC mascots will participate in an assembly at Orange Center Elementary School from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. During the visit, the ACC, in partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers initiative, will provide a DonorsChoose.org gift card to help fund classroom projects.

Later that day, the ACC mascots will visit Florida Hospital for Children from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. and the group will cap off the weekend of outreach events with a visit to Give Kids the World Village from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3. Media interested in attending the events should contact Marianne Schroer ([email protected]).

Military Appreciation & National Anthem

The ACC is continuing to honor America and recognize the men and women of the Armed Forces during the 2016 ACC Dr Pepper Football Championship Game by inviting select service members and their guests to the game. The four invited families will have VIP access throughout game day, including pregame sideline access. In addition, the heroes will take part in a special recognition on the field in between the third and fourth quarters.  This presentation will be followed by the singing of God Bless America by Liberty Voices a cappella group, who will also be performing the national anthem prior to the game.

Project Life Movement

The ACC is partnering with Project Life Movement to increase the bone marrow and tissue donor registry during the 2016 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game. On Dec. 3, fans are encouraged to visit the Project Life booth at ACC FanFest and on the concourse in the stadium to get registered through a simple cheek swab. The initiative is a part of the ACC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee’s relationship with Project Life Movement (PLM), which began last year with Syracuse’s SAAC hosting the first bone marrow donor drive in the league.

ACC Football Fan Central

I-Drive 360, a popular Orlando destination, will serve as headquarters for all ACC fans on Friday, Dec. 2, the night before the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game. ACC Football Fan Central starts at 6 p.m. with performances from the Clemson marching band at 7 p.m. and the Virginia Tech marching band at 7:45 p.m. The event also features special appearances by ACC cheerleaders and mascots and a live performance by the Greg Warren Band from 8:45 to 10:30 p.m.

ACC FanFest

ACC FanFest will take place Saturday, Dec. 3, with live music, games and entertainment outside of Camping World Stadium. ACC FanFest, located directly west of Camping World Stadium on Tinker Field, is the ultimate pregame activity. Fans of all ages can get into the spirit of ACC Football with live music, interactive games, contests and novelty stations, ACC mascot appearances, ACC Corporate Champion attractions, team band performances, giveaways and samples, and a variety of concessions. The event is free to the public and runs from 3:00 to 7:30 pm. All activities take place outdoors, rain or shine. ACC FanFest will adhere to the clear bag policy enforced by the stadium on game day.

ACC Cheer Performance

The ACC will hold its annual Cheer Performance on Saturday, Dec. 3. The cheerleaders will practice for the performance from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Jones High School prior to their pregame on-field performance.  Partnering with the Universal Cheerleaders Association, the event provides youth cheerleaders the opportunity to receive private instruction from world renowned UCA staff, and learn and perform a routine on the field before the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game.
