Western Virginia Sport Show features country legend

Country superstar Aaron Tippin will take a break from his Roots and Boots Tour with Sammy Kershaw and Joe Diffie to appear at the Western Virginia Sport Show in Fishersville next month.

“I’m excited about it. Nobody likes being around the outdoors quite like I do,” said Tippin, who will sign autographs for fans on Saturday, Feb. 25.

The Western Virginia Sport Show is a three-day event running from Feb. 24-26. In addition to Tippin, special guests include Harold Knight, the co-founder of Knight & Hale Game Calls, and former Atlanta Braves catcher Charlie O’Brien, now the star of “Deer T.H.U.G.S.,” an outdoors-themed TV series.

Tippin looks forward to meeting and greeting fans and also checking out what the Western Virginia Sport Show, now in its 25th year, has to offer outdoors enthusiasts like himself.

“Believe me, I’m going to make sure I have some time to walk around and check stuff out,” said Tippin, who had a successful hunting season this year, bagging a buck and also seeing his young sons get their first ducks and geese.
