Blake takes it strong to the hoop
Story by Chris Graham
WaynesboroYMCA.com
AugustaFreePress.com editor Chris Graham tells the story of Blake Hodge, a Westwood Hills Elementary School first-grader who is regularly scoring baskets in the Waynesboro Family YMCA rec basketball league this winter.
Chris talks with Blake, who is legally blind, as well as Blake’s mother and coach, to learn more about how the 6-year-old is able to do what he does, and also what mom thinks about her son diving on the floor for loose balls.
A special feature: video of Blake making a shot in a recent YMCA game.
You can access the story from the Waynesboro YMCA website here.
