The area from Roanoke, Va. to Washington, D.C., seems to be the “sweet spot” for snowfall in the Mid-Atlantic as a storm tracks its way up the East Coast during the day Saturday, according to AccuWeather.com.

The early predictions from AccuWeather.com have the storm dropping enough snow to make roads slippery and slushy.

Motorists should expect delays from snow along Interstates 64, 66, 70 and 81 in Virginia. I-95 could also be affected and other major routes farther north that bisect the highway, depending on the intensity of the snow and the northern extent of the storm.

Expect direct or indirect delays Saturday if you are flying in or out of Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York.
