Rockingham Memorial Hospital plans two memorial services

RMH Grief and Loss Services and RMH Hospice invite the community to attend the annual Community Remembrance Service 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6 at the VMRC Detweiler Auditorium.

“As we enter the holiday season, it is important to reflect and remember the lives of those we have lost,” said Nancy Shomo, grief and loss services coordinator, RMH Center for Behavioral Health. “This service is a time of remembrance and healing.”

Refreshments will be offered following the service. The event is free, but please pre-register by calling RMH HealthSource, 540.433.4580.

The VMRC Detweiler Auditorium is located at 1501 Virginia Ave.

Annual Bereaved Parents Memorial Tree Service is Dec. 7

RMH Grief and Loss Services invites parents who have lost a child to attend the annual Bereaved Parents Memorial Tree Service at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 7 on the fourth floor of the RMH Outpatient Center.

Parents may bring an ornament to place on the tree in memory of their child.

Refreshments will be offered following the service. The event is free, but please pre-register by calling RMH HealthSource, 540.564.4580.

The RMH Outpatient Center is located at 100 E. Grace St.
