  1. Crystal Graham says:

If games were only two quarters, UVA would do so much better. Not sure what they do at halftime, but they just don’t play well in the second half.

  2. Jay says:

Give me a call tomorrow Chris. Sometime after the announcement at 1pm.

  3. Crystal Graham says:

Maybe Al Groh will announce his retirement tonight and save everyone having to wait until tommorrow …

  4. chrisgraham says:

    Will do, Jay.

Good news on the horizon, at least.

Hey, maybe he does it tonight.

  5. Crystal Graham says:

Are UVA fans still there? Or filing out fast?

  6. Julz says:

I have two friends that are still there and I’m not counting Chris.

  7. Crystal Graham says:

Come on guys, don’t be stupid!

  8. chrisgraham says:

Scrum on the field. No need for this. They’re kicking our ass.

  9. Brian Rostron says:

    No mo’ Groh.

  10. chrisgraham says:

Having said that, if these jerks in front of me don’t shut their yappers, there’s going to be a scrum up here.

  11. Julz says:

    All of a sudden we’re looking good with 1 minute 55 left…

  12. Julz says:

    Damn, I jinxed them!!

  13. chrisgraham says:

I’m glad these yahoos down in front of me can spell. They probably made dean’s list.

  14. Crystal Graham says:

Be nice – Chris Graham. Enjoy the news conference. Maybe UVA fans will start a GOODBYE chant … odds on that one?

  15. Julz says:

Score update, Florida 37, FSU 10

  16. Julz says:

Another friend on FB already started it on FB… ;)

  17. Julz says:

    She’s at the game too.

  18. chrisgraham says:

Groh hasn’t resigned yet. But his wife and daughter were in the media room afterward, and all were in tears when Al read a poem at the end of the press conference about the man in the mirror.

  19. Crystal Graham says:

Al read a poem … wow. I wouldn’t have expected that. Even if he couldn’t win football games, I’ve been told he is a nice guy and I’m sure even he is disappointed he couldn’t produce more results.

  20. Brian Rostron says:

“Al read a poem at the end of the press conference about the man in the mirror.”

Michael Jackson? Ahh, what a nice way to go out, memorializing a gifted but flawed entertainer.

No, seriously, does Groh really think that he should be proud of the way that he’s coached? He is still going to pocket $4 million over the next two years because his teams had gotten progressively worse and he needed to be fired, right? Shouldn’t someone who makes a point of praising his own integrity after a 42-13 loss refuse to accept that money from his alma mater during a dismal budget situation?
