		<description>To me all I heard from the Deeds people was “McDonnell hate women” &amp; “if there’s a nexus to transportation, everything’s on the table”. If he would have just said (raise taxes for transportation) then it would have been less insulting.</description>

And he was even further back in the &#039;09 primary and then won resoundingly.

I think it&#039;s possible/likely that the Deeds veterans thought all summer that they could just turn it on in crunch time and win. And then the bounce in the polls from the thesis fed into that line of thinking.

The view of Deeds is that he is a political cat with nine lives. Unfortunately for his interests, this one is #9.</description>
