Daily Rant | Dick Freakin’ Cheney? Seriously?

The former vice president is saying that President Obama is “afraid” to make key decisions on the war in Afghanistan, and that his indecision has hampered the efforts of U.S. troops and put at risk the mission in the Middle Eastern country. It’s been Obama’s war for eight months, while it was Cheney’s war for eight years in the Bush administration, AFP editor Chris Graham points out in today’s Daily Rant. AFP Video. Length: 1:10.

Every few months, Cheney will come out, take a whack at President Obama and return to writing his book.
I just read your summary, but you fell into the trap. Didn’t Bush critics say he could have stopped 9/11 and they replied “We were only in office eight months, while Clinton had eight years and did nothing.”
I’d cut Obama some slack, but Cheney spent eight years working on something and doesn’t want to see it end badly.

He spent eight years working on something, made numerous mistakes in the course of doing that work, failed to listen to people raising issues with the conduct of the policy, and now feels qualified to criticize those in charge.

I guess we could say if there’s anybody qualified to tell us what not to do in Afghanistan, it would be Dick Cheney. Much like the “Seinfeld” episode where George did everything opposite to his instincts, we could simply take how Cheney would do it and do the exact opposite and probably end up doing things right.

It is all about OIL and a pipeline. Drugs we can get anywhere.
Unocal, pipeline, Afghanistan, Halliburton, and Caspian Sea.
