Call for entries from Art Center
The Staunton Augusta Art Center announces a call for entries to artists and artisans to apply for major gallery exhibitions starting in 2011.
The Staunton Augusta Art Center is a well-established, nonprofit arts organization with state-of-the-art exhibition galleries located in historic Downtown Staunton. Artists working in all mediums, including fine craft, are welcome to apply.
Applications may be made by individuals for solo exhibitions or by curators or groups for group shows. Applicants must submit a resume, artist’s statement, and images (digital images are preferred, labeled slides and photographs will be accepted) of eight different pieces of representational work.
Applications may be mailed to: Standards Committee, C/o Staunton Augusta Art Center, 20 S. New St., Staunton, Va. 24401.
A self addressed stamped envelope needs to be included if the applicant wishes the images to be returned.
The deadline for submissions is Oct. 30, 2009.
