Deeds unveils new website

Tim Kaine went Mark Warner to win the 2005 governor’s race. Creigh Deeds is channeling his inner Barack Obama.
“This evening, President Barack Obama will join Creigh Deeds and Governor Tim Kaine as we work to kick this campaign into overdrive – and in conjunction with his visit, we’re launching a full scale organizing campaign, using the latest advances in new media technology,” campaign manager Joe Abbey said in an e-mail that went out this afternoon to launch the new DeedsForVirginia.com website, which looks suspiciously like the Obama for President website from 2008.

Also reminiscent of the Obama effort from ’08 – the ability to connect to the campaign via text messaging, an e-mail newsletter, Facebook, Twitter and Flickr.

“The new DeedsForVirginia.com is a critical component for making Creigh’s case to Virginians that he is the best prepared to create jobs all across the Commonwealth, improve our schools, and modernize our transportation system. On our new site, you can learn about Creigh and his platform, find the latest news and videos from the campaign, and take action to move Virginia forward,” Abbey said in the e-mail that went out today.
