Historical Society looks back at 1
We just inaugurated 44 last week. The Augusta County Historical Society is looking back a couple hundred years at the man we could call 1.
“George Washington: The Making of a Warrior” features Washington and Lee University history professor Dr. Holt Merchant. The talk by Merchant will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the lecture room at the Smith Center for History and Art at 20 S. New St. in Downtown Staunton.
The cost is $5 for non-ACHS members. The event is free to Historical Society members.
For more information on the event, call 540.248.4151.
