Just getting back from a long walk of the dog. And it’s already NYG 7, WR 0.

    Hmmm.

It’s not too late, I hope, to share my final score prediction. NYG 20, Washington 10.

    go skins!

I wanted to believe that the anemic offense that we saw in the preseason was just an anemic preseason offense that would begin running on all cylinders when the real games started.

    And I was wrong.

    It’s like USC-UVa.
It’s like watching the varsity play the JV.
    Like watching WHS.

A pretty fluky first half of football for the ‘Skins.

Now the Redskins are a team that has gone from excellence to middling results. How many years are they into the Daniel Snyder era, and how much of the fan devotion cultivated during the Gibbs I era have they dissipated?

Oh, and why are WHS’s teams the oxymoric Little Giants?

  7. wil says:

Better start, still need to work on stopping the run.

  8. chrisgraham says:

One, agree. They have middled and muddled and mucked up in The Danny Era.

Two is easy. Back in the early ’30s, the founder of the NV, Louis Spilman, wrote a story about a football game that referred to the WHS football team as Waynesboro’s little giants, I guess referring to them as being small of size, but big on the field of play. The name stuck.
